From the Principal's Desk

It was exciting to bring together all the ghosts, goblins, princesses and other costumed students and staff for our annual Halloween Hoot on Wednesday morning.  Our fifth graders led the school in Halloween songs, and each grade level shared a favorite tune.  Special thanks go to Mrs. Seals for her preparation and planning of this invigorating event.

The next school assembly will be our Autumnfest on Wednesday, November 21st.  Under the direction of Mrs. Seals, each grade level shares a song or two to celebrate the season of giving thanks.  Reminder:  There will be a noon dismissal that day to initiate the Thanksgiving recess.

We appreciate your flexibility in rescheduling parent-teacher conferences that were cancelled during the storm.  The system set aside several afternoons specifically for conferences.  We are looking at ways to adjust the teachers' professional development sessions to allow for some additional conference slots.

The circus is coming to Ward School!  Our fifth grade circus is a spectacular event.  Fifth grade students have been working in small groups to develop their own circus acts utilizing the skills that they have developed in our physical education program.  It's always full of amazing feats and surprises.  You are welcome to join us on December 6 at 9:00 AM for the big show.
