4th Grade Understanding Our Differences
The chronic medical conditions unit of the Understanding Our Differences program in the 4th grade has come to a successful conclusion. Students learned how people with allergies and asthma cope with their daily activities. They learned about triggers for asthma and learned how to be good friends to peers with allergies and asthma. They were enthusiastic to meet a Newton South High School student who has many allergies. He answered their thoughtful questions. Fourth graders were also excited to hear from one of their own classmates with asthma. We would like to thank our volunteer team of Sara Singer, Julia Johnston-Ketterer, Wendy Kritzer, Geoff Gilmartin, and Stacy Schwartz. We would also like to thank Ms. Packard, Ms. Broder, Mr. MacPherson, Ms. Kaplan, Ms. Goldman, and Ms. Peller for their support.
Understanding Our Differences will present the learning disabilities unit for the 4th grade on Wednesday March 27, 2013 from 1-3 PM. Please call/email the 4th Grade Understanding Our Differences coordinator, Laurence Bailen (tel: 617-645-5802 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in volunteering.
