Message from Health Room:
Please Pick Up Student Medication

All meds will need to go home with a parent or guardian prior to the end of the school day on June 18. If your student has a med that has not been needed this school year, you are welcome to pick it up at your earliest convenience. Meds cannot be stored in the health room over summer break, so if they are left at school they will be discarded.

If your student has an epi-pen, inhaler or other medication at school this year, Ms. Hutchins is sending home a copy of the necessary paperwork for you to complete over the summer.

End of School Picnic Thank You

A big thank you to Cheryl Abramson, MaryJo Sisk and other volunteers for organizing the fabulous End of School picnic. The kids and parents had a blast with the games and the DJ was a smash hit!

Visit Ward School Garden This Summer

School may be out in the summer, but the plantings in the Ward School Garden are in full swing! We are recruiting volunteers to help maintain the garden over summer break. Volunteers can sign up for a week during which they check in on the garden 2-3 times: Summer Garden Sign Up

Our drip irrigation/timer system has greatly reduced our watering needs, but we depend on volunteers over the summer to make sure the system is running, water areas the system does not reach, enjoy some of the harvest, and weed, weed, weed!

You do not need to be a green thumb to volunteer! We are happy to meet to show volunteers the irrigation/timer system and go over any questions. If interested, please contact Elizabeth Apgar at erapgar@gmail.com.

We will also be hosting an open garden night later this summer. Stay tuned for detail.

Lost and Found

The school year is coming to an end, so let's clean up the Ward Lost and Found. Items are located in the school entrance foyer.  Come take a look or remind your child to look in the lost and found.

Items not picked up by 12:30 pm on Tuesday, 6/18/19, will be donated to charity

If you have any questions, contact Sandra Kelley at skelley021@gmail.com

Advertise in 2019-2020 Ward School Directory

The directory team is already getting ready for the next school year. You can too! Advertise your business to the Ward Community by purchasing an ad in the 2019-2020 Ward Directory.

This is a cost effective way for your business to reach our families and support the PTO.

In addition to offsetting the cost of printing the Directory, proceeds will go toward PTO funding including Creative Arts & Sciences programming.

Welcoming Newton Survey
"Welcoming Newton" is a grassroots effort led by a pair of Newton citizens to support newcomers to our city while also furthering the engagement of all residents in all things related to life in Newton.

They are in their developmental stages and are conducting a survey of current Newton residents. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to fill out.

Thank you for your participation!
