Walk and Roll to Ward TODAY
Join us Friday, November 1st for our autumn walk and roll to Ward! Students who bus, bike or walk (including park and walk in an effort to reduce traffic in front of the building) will participate in building our community "pumpkin turkey". The many feathers added to our turkey that day will demonstrate the volume of our walkers and rollers at Ward and set the stage for our season of gratitude.

5th Grade Election Day Bake Sale
There will be a bake sale on Election Day, Tuesday, 11/5/19, in the school gymnasium from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm (or while supplies last).  All items will be $1 each. Hosted by the 5th Grade and Open to All.

Proceeds support special activities planned for their final year at Ward, including graduation, a class community service project, their yearbook and the class gift to the school.

Ward Night at The Boston Celtics
We have 30 tickets remaining and November is the last month to decide to come along!

Join friends from the Ward School community to cheer on The Boston Celtics together on January 8, 2020 at 7pm. Order forms will be in backpacks this week or can be found here. A small portion of the ticket fee benefits the Ward PTO and it's critical programming. Kindly return order forms and payment (made out to Ward PTO) to the labeled box in the front lobby of the school. Please read the important details about receiving tickets on the form.

Questions? Go Celtics! And Go Ward!

Box Tops for Education
Box Tops for Education gives families an easy way to earn cash for their school, with products they already buy. The Box Tops program has changed and now you can scan your store receipt (within 14 days of purchase) with the Box Tops mobile app to identify participating products and instantly add cash to Ward's earnings.  Participating products have phased out the Box Tops for clipping and will now just have the Box Tops logo indicating that they are a participating product.  Currently, while the old clippable Box Tops are being phased out, the program is still accepting clipped coupons.  If you purchase a product that has a clippable Box Top you can both scan your receipt and clip the Box Top for double earnings.

A submission of clipped Box Tops will be sent in soon.  Please send your clipped Box Tops to Ward this week and leave them in the Box Tops box on the desk in the lobby outside the office.

Email Rachel Hindin at with any questions.  Thanks for your participation!

Lost and Found
The Lost and Found items will be picked for donation on Friday, November 1st. The Los and Found is located in the school entrance foyer. Please have your child check for missing items or come in to school and check out the Lost and Found (after signing in at the office). Please consider writing your students name on sweaters, jackets, water bottles, etc. Items not picked up will be donated every other month.

If you have any questions, please contact Sandra Kelley at
