Ward SEPAC Event: Valentine Cards and Treats for
Special Educators
Calling all Ward Parents! The Ward SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Committee,) would love your help in showing our appreciation for the Special Education teachers and aides at Ward. We are hosting an afternoon meet-up to put together Valentine's day cards and gift bags for each teacher/aide. We have such an amazing team of special educators and we want to show our gratitude for their hard work and contributions to the entire Ward community.
Students across the state will be committing to walking/biking/bussing to school during the first week of February. At Ward we will celebrate with our annual kindness themed walk.
TODAY! Walk, Bike or Bus to school with your kindness hearts and place your hearts inside the box in the front door (we have been collecting all week!). We will celebrate the kindness accomplishments and all the walking and rolling with a beautiful mural of hearts.
Save the Date:
Ward International Night is on April 16th!
We're calling out to all families to please consider hosting a booth representing a country - whether it's your native origin, a place you've lived in, or a part of the world that you're interested in or connected to. Your stories can provide a cultural lesson of celebrated diversity. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn about countries, cultures and customs beyond their own.
Especially to the families new to Ward, please come to our planning and informational meeting on February 27th at 8:30am at the Ward After School room (downstairs close to the cafeteria) to learn more about this highly anticipated event and how you may be able support it.
A country host and volunteer sign up sheet will be available soon.
2020 Art Show
The Annual Art Show will take place on May 20, 2020 from 5-6:30pm.
If you are interested in framing art work (this can be done from home!), or helping with setup or takedown, please email Betsy Blazar at betsy@blazardesignstudio.com
Lost and Found
The Lost and Found is located in the school entrance foyer. Please have your child check for missing items or come in to school and check out the Lost and Found (after signing in at the office). Please consider writing your students name on sweaters, jackets, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc. Items not picked up will be donated every other month.
The next pick up date will be 02/14/2020.
If you have any questions, please contact Sandra Kelley at skelley021@gmail.com.
