This Week at Ward- April 25th

School Starts Early for Next Month

This is a reminder that we will be starting school at 8:15 AM (doors open at 8:00 AM) for four weeks to make up the day school was closed in January. Beginning on April 27th and continuing through May 22nd, children should be in their classrooms by 8:15 AM. This is necessary to be in compliance with the state mandate of 180 school days.

National Teacher Appreciation Week

May 4th- 8th

In recognition of National Teacher Appreciation Week, Ward School PTO is sponsoring a luncheon on Tuesday, May 5th at 12:30 p.m. in honor of our teachers and staff. Teacher Appreciation Week is a week dedicated teachers around the world. The Ward School has done a great job providing a nurturing and supportive environment for our children and this is our opportunity to express how grateful we are to have them as part of our community.

We would also like to decorate the teacher's lounge with notes and pictures from the children. Each year during Teacher Appreciation Week you get a wonderfully warm feeling when you walk into the teacher's lounge and find yourself surrounded by warm sentiments from the children. We'd like to ask our children to draw a picture, or write a note, reminding their teacher(s) and staff how much they are truly loved and appreciated. They can be as simple or creative as the children would like to make them. Please drop these cards and notes in the box in the lobby marked "Teacher Appreciation" by Friday, May 1st.
