Help Spruce Up Ward School

Sunday, May 3rd anytime 12-4

We've recieved a grant from Newton Conservators to create a "Helping Harvest Garden!" Our students will cultivate more vegetables and herbs this year in a new two season harvest garden to donate to the Newton Food Pantry. On May 3rd we will build a new bed area on the east side of the school for the butterfly garden, and we will clean up our existing beds in front of the school so they are ready for classroom planting. We will also be painting some asphalt games on our new playground blacktop. Please make plans to help out for a few hours of light (or heavy) labor between soccer, baseball, and everything else. All activities are kids friendly bring your kids to help plant and paint. This is a great community service activity if you like to help at Newton Serves but were out of town!

Teacher and Basket Raffle Extended

Thurs. May 7th Deadline

What a crazy week! We've had a lot of requests to extend the deadline for the teacher and basket raffle. The date has been extended by a week. Check out the amazing class baskets and great teacher donations. Raffle tickets can be turned in until Thursday May 7th at 3:00. Winners will be posted on Friday May 8th. Thanks for your support of special speakers/performers for Ward School through the Creative Arts and Sciences Program.
