Volunteer for the PTO in 2022/23
CHOOSE ONE FOR WARD continues this week. Do you use and love your Ward Directory? We do! Beyond being such a great resource for families to connect with each other, it is a large PTO Fundraiser and provides a fun contest experience for student artists. In order to have a printed directory for the 2022-23 school year - WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! To be clear: without volunteers the directory will be online-only next year. This work can be 100% done remotely and on your own schedule and is busiest in late August and September. Our experienced directory team will be available for guidance and troubleshooting and can share all of their documents. Can you and a friend take this on? You will be much appreciated by the Ward community! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0844aaaa2da7fd0-ward

Color Day
This Wednesday, June 15th - under predicted sunny skies - we will finally celebrate the return of Ward Color Day! Remember play clothes, sneakers, sunscreen and water bottles. Thanks to the MANY parent volunteers who have signed up to come. Please email copresidents@wardpto.org if your plans change. Note to all families - Fla-Vor-Ice freeze pops will be distributed by the PTO at the conclusion of color day.

Spring Picnic - ORDER DINNER!
Save the date for Monday, June 13th when we will gather as a school community to celebrate the amazing school year coming to a close! Knucklebones fun and games and music will keep everyone entertained. Pack a picnic or order ahead from the Naco Taco Food Truck. (Note: Advance orders only and prime pick-up time slots are going fast!) 15% of proceeds will benefit the PTO! And then the PTO will treat for ice cream for all! Join us for a fun late spring night on Ward Field. Questions? zena_adeeb@yahoo.com

Community Notes & Announcements

Schultz Family Kids Triathlon
We are thrilled to announce the 5th Annual Schultz Family Kids Triathlon, a triathlon for kids ages 6-12 and athletes with special needs of all ages, will be happening Thursday, July 21 at Newton North High School. In 2018, my husband David and I set up a short, fun triathlon for our three kids. What we hoped to be a yearly family tradition became a community event after he passed away the following May. Thanks to a partnership with Max Performance Events, Newton Parks and Rec, All Sports Events, and Newton Athletes Unlimited, the Schultz Family Kids Triathlon has welcomed young athletes to their first triathlons for the past 4 years. Please register early as this popular race is capped at 275 participants and does not have race-day registration. More information about the Race Logistics, our Mission, and our awesome Sponsors is HERE: https://www.schultzfamilykidstriathlon.com/ Register Here

Enriching & Fun Summer Camps for Kids 4-14 at Burr
